An Uninvited Guest

Every day is scary.
No one knows what might come,
or who might be next.
In the very end, it will come for us all.

An uninvited guest,
Always taking, always hurting,
Never asking, never waiting.

But what greater revenge against death than to live?
Against sorrow than to smile?
.
