Dreams in a Foyer

He:
            Imagines taking her out
For a warm lunch in a cool garden,
Gifting her Proton bread for Wednesday brunch,
And asking what she actually does
            On the 3rd Floor.

She:
            Is just making polite conversation
With someone who seems to need it
In a building full of cutthroats.
For what is she if not a well taught daughter?
