Whiskey Take Me Now

Whiskey — Whiskey
My tasty — Tipsy honey
Tie my tongue — Burn my throat —
Let it rot like hot embers in hell’s teapot
Corrode my liver — I don’t ever care —
I hate it more than my rare kidneys
Cirrhosis tries to keep you away —
But kiss me all night my darling — Rum
Espoused — We can abort bitter struggles —
That haunt days without you — Whiskey

Whiskey — Whiskey
My wife is packing her heart — Tonight
She says, “She is tired of eating promises” —
The kids ask her if we live in the “House of Hunger”
Or if “Marechera” is our Surname
She squeals at me, “This is not a healthy diet” —
“For her body and our thin marriage” —
Now on the rocks — Like the way I take you
If she abandons me and my gin-soaked lies —
Then it’s you and me versus life — Whiskey

Whiskey — Whiskey
Valerie
is pregnant — Like Mary
She says it’s me — But it was you — Whiskey
You begged me — “Omit the Carex” —
So I entered her raw — Straight up
Like I was sipping on you — Risky
Last night in plight I begged her —
“Delete the foetus!” — But she slapped me sober
I guess! — I should blame it all on you — Scotch
And name the baby — Whiskey

Whiskey — Whiskey
Four hours now! —
I have been staring at this rope
And it looks a lot like hope
I wonder! — Was it made for me? —
Will it fit my neck? — Will it help me escape?
Whiskey my darling — Take me now —
To La—La land — To the Drunk Republic
Take my money — Take my body and Soul
Only you can make me forget — Whiskey
